{"id":9921,"date":"2019-08-07T13:28:10","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T07:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rationalselling.com\/?p=9921"},"modified":"2020-05-24T18:17:24","modified_gmt":"2020-05-24T12:47:24","slug":"avaya-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rationalselling.com\/fr\/avaya-solutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Solutions Avaya (mat\u00e9riel et logiciel) - Une \u00e9tude de cas"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>The Client:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Government Military Institution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The client wanted their engineers to be trained on Avaya acquired solutions.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Challenges:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The skill level of the people to be trained was not uniform and some of them didn&#8217;t have the basic understanding of networks and IP-telephony.<\/li>\n<li>There were only 6 servers including 2 for the conference. In duplex mode, you need 2 servers per students\u2019 group, which meant that there were only 2 training nodes for 12 students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>RationalSelling Solution:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>With limited hardware, the trainer decided to use only one server per group and use virtualization. However, the site did not have VMware software.<\/li>\n<li>Some Avaya applications acquired were also missing. The trainer downloaded some of them directly.<\/li>\n<li>The trainer created a proper environment with an NTP server, a Domain server, a DNS server under VMware.<\/li>\n<li>The Avaya partner got the remaining applications including the Avaya\u00a0Aura\u00ae Appliance Virtualization Platform, VMware based, which was critical to move forward with the training program.<\/li>\n<li>Trainer organized the course flow in a way that was convenient for the different level of technical skills of the students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RationalSelling was required to provide the following services for this Avaya Customer [Ministry of Defense, \u00c9cole d&#8217;Application des Transmissions, Kol\u00e9a, Algeria] along with 30 days of effective training on client site using their Avaya deployed Solution:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avaya AURA Communication Manager: Installation, Maintenance and Administration<\/li>\n<li>Session and System Manager SMGR\/SM: installation, Maintenance and Administration<\/li>\n<li>DECT: Installation, Maintenance and Administration<\/li>\n<li>One X Attendant = Admin and End-user training and practical hands-on<\/li>\n<li>Local Survivable Processor (LSP) Install and Administration<\/li>\n<li>Avaya Aura Communication Manager ACM Duplex: installation, Maintenance and Administration<\/li>\n<li>Avaya Aura\u00ae Conferencing 8.0 AAC Install and Administration<\/li>\n<li>AAM (Avaya Aura Messaging)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following was the training calendar that we designed and implemented:<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9926 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/rationalselling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-07-at-1.21.19-PM-300x165.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"493\" height=\"271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rationalselling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-07-at-1.21.19-PM-300x165.png 300w, https:\/\/www.rationalselling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-07-at-1.21.19-PM-350x192.png 350w, https:\/\/www.rationalselling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-07-at-1.21.19-PM-600x329.png 600w, https:\/\/www.rationalselling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-07-at-1.21.19-PM.png 603w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Outcomes:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We were able to move forward by meeting the training objectives.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avaya Aura\u00ae Session and System Manager, the Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) based architecture.<\/li>\n<li>Avaya Aura\u00ae Communication Manager, an IP Telephony foundation<\/li>\n<li>Avaya G450 Media Gateway ) and<\/li>\n<li>Avaya Unified Communication Applications (OneX Attendant \/ Conferencing \/Avaya\u00a0Aura\u00ae Messaging).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The client also wanted us to address other concepts like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avaya Application Enablement Services AES and<\/li>\n<li>Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony (DECT).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To accommodate this requirement, we extended the training an additional week.
